Edge-blending is a method whereby two or even more video/data projectors are used together, along with part of their particular images overlapping to create a seamless video presentation on a wide screen. The term "edge blending" relates to the fact which the video overlap needs to be carefully handled to prevent illumination discontinuities. The Edge Blend Unit is an accessory unit designed for all MediaWall video display screen processors in the 4200 and 4500 series. This video edge blending unit provides the ability to feather the overlapped edges of the MediaWall's outputs to create a seamless projected video display screen. Video outputs can be aligned vertically and horizontally. Each video edge blending unit handles a single channel and is placed inline between the MediaWall video processor and the projector. Using multiple video edge blending units, seamless displays up to 2 x 3 are possible.
