Users get two Type A jacks on an 89 mm metal plate. Installers get two 328 mm tails ending in Type B female connectors, ready for the host cable from a codec, DSP, camera hub or room computer. Both connector ends are reversible, so orientation stops mattering during a blind connection under furniture. Data throughput follows the USB 3.2 Gen 1 specification, giving 5 Gbps SuperSpeed on each path — headroom for a conferencing camera and a peripheral hub at the same time. Allow up to 58 mm of rear depth so the leads can be dressed instead of kinked.
