Where the 22 AWG members of the STP Series are chosen for tight pathways, the STP20 trades a little bulk for heavier copper: one twisted pair of 0.038 in tinned copper conductors, color coded red and black, riding inside a 100 percent aluminum foil shield. The tinned copper drain wire is bonded to the jacket, which means a single strip exposes both the pair and the ground path. Polypropylene insulation, a PVC inner jacket and a gray PVC outer jacket bring the finished cable to a 0.214 in nominal diameter.
