USB is not a connector anyone wants to terminate on site. Extron's answer here is a factory-assembled module: a Type-A female jack on the visible face of a metal MAAP plate, and a 12.30 in pigtail behind it ending in a second Type-A female. The installer plugs a manufactured USB cable into that pigtail inside the back box or furniture enclosure and closes up. The plate measures 2.2 in wide by 0.7 in tall, the standard single-space MAAP footprint, and the assembly weighs less than a tenth of a pound.
