The module presents a USB Type-A female jack on the face of the plate and a 12.30 in pigtail behind it, terminated in a second Type-A female. That lets the installer mate a standard off-the-shelf USB cable inside the enclosure rather than terminating USB in the field. The body is metal and the plate is the standard 2.2 in single-space MAAP width. Extron asks for up to 1.6 in of clearance behind the plate so the cable can turn without being kinked.
