The module does one job and does it without electronics. A USB Type-A female opening and a USB Type-B female opening share one barrel carried on a mountable metal MAAP plate, and Extron states that the barrel is reversible — the installer chooses which of the two connectors is presented at the face of the plate and which is left inside the enclosure.
