Extron OCS 100W (part number 60-1665-01) — a compact dual technology occupancy sensor with ultrasonic, infrared and photocell detection for Extron control systems.

The OCS 100W reports whether a room is in use so an Extron controller can start, hold or release an automation sequence. Two 32 kHz ultrasonic transducers watch for frequency shifts caused by movement while a dual-element pyrometer behind a rugged 12-element lens tracks thermal change. By default both have to agree before occupancy is declared, which is what keeps corridor traffic and airflow from producing spurious triggers. Wiring goes directly to digital or FLEX input ports, or over eBUS with optional interface accessories.

Where It Is Used

Small and mid-size conference rooms, huddle spaces, classrooms and offices are typical, particularly where a wall or corner position gives a better view of the room than the ceiling. The concealed cover keeps DIP switches and sensitivity dials out of reach once the space is tuned.
