Details
Extron MVC 121 xi (part number 60-2048-01) — a quarter-rack digital audio mixer that takes two microphone or line sources plus a stereo line feed and delivers two stereo outputs, one variable and one fixed.
Small rooms rarely justify a full DSP, but they still need microphone gain, phantom power, level control and a clean split between a variable feed for the loudspeakers and a fixed feed for a recorder or codec. The MVC 121 xi covers exactly that. Both mic/line channels supply switchable 48 VDC phantom power and offer 78 dB of gain range in 0.1 dB steps, with equivalent input noise below -120 dBV. Everything runs through 24-bit, 48 kHz conversion, and the analogue path measures better than 100 dB signal to noise with THD+N under 0.02 percent. Configuration is handled by Extron DSP Configurator Pro over the front-panel USB-C port, with SIS control available over RS-232 and four digital logic inputs for wall plates or contact closures.
Key Capabilities
- Two mono mic/line inputs with switchable +48 VDC phantom power
- Mic/line gain adjustable from -18 dB to +60 dB in 0.1 dB steps
- One stereo line level input, -18 dB to +24 dB gain range
- Two stereo outputs: variable attenuation -100 dB to 0 dB, fixed gain -24 dB to +12 dB
- 24-bit / 48 kHz PCM conversion; S/N above 100 dB, THD+N below 0.02 percent
- RS-232 and front-panel USB-C control, four digital logic inputs with 5 VDC supply
Where It Is Used
Huddle rooms, small classrooms, clinical conference spaces and training rooms that combine a lectern microphone, a wireless receiver and a program source into one loudspeaker feed while sending an untouched mix to a recorder or conferencing codec. Its quarter-rack size fits inside lectern furniture or an under-desk mount.
