Details
Extron MLC 62 RS D (part number 60-1005-02) — an eight-button backlit keypad that gives a single display unidirectional RS-232 and IR control from one wall or table position.
The keypad's buttons are field-configurable for power, source switching, and volume commands sent out over its serial or infrared port, so one hardware SKU can drive almost any display brand once the correct driver is loaded through Extron's configuration software. Two software-configurable relays and one digital input let the same unit trigger lighting or screen control or monitor a contact closure elsewhere in the room, removing the need for a separate control processor in single-display spaces. Mounts in a standard 1 gang US electrical junction box or with the included mud ring, with the faceplate filling the opening of a standard decorator-style wallplate. The plastic device measures 4.19" H x 1.84" W x 1.5" D (106 mm H x 47 mm W x 37 mm D) and weighs 1.0 lb (0.5 kg). It draws 2.1 watts, 12 VDC (7.0 BTU/hr) at the device and is set up over USB with Extron's MLC 62 Series configuration program.
