At nine feet the usual compromise is a thick, stiff cable that fights the installer at every turn. Extron takes the opposite approach: 28 AWG tinned copper conductors, a drain wire of the same gauge, a fluorocopolymer tape binder with tinned copper braid over the top, and a PVC jacket only 0.22 in (5.7 mm) across. The result pulls through conduit and furniture channels easily while still meeting Premium High Speed requirements and carrying 4K at 60 Hz with 8 bit color.
