Across two 850 nm fibers it moves a 4096x2160/60 4:4:4 DisplayPort picture with nothing thrown away, and on a single fiber it falls back to mathematically lossless. The USB side stays deliberately narrow: one host port, filtered by device class so only HID peripherals pass. EDID Minder handles the handshake with source and display, and a DisplayPort loop-out feeds a local monitor.
