At the display end of a FOX3 link this unit recovers DisplayPort video, stereo audio, RS-232, IR and 3D sync from the fiber and drives them out locally. The video path is mathematically lossless, so nothing is thrown away in transit, and an integrated Vector 4K scaling engine re-rates the picture to suit the attached display instead of forcing the source to change. FILL and FOLLOW modes govern aspect ratio, and the output colour space and chroma sampling can be set automatically to match the display.
