Extron FOX3 SR 201 SM (part number 60-1600-22) is a lossless fiber optic scaling receiver for HDMI, stereo audio, and RS-232/IR control, built to pair with an Extron FOX3 T 201 transmitter or a FOX3 Matrix fiber switcher over singlemode cable.
Unlike the non-scaling FOX3 R-series, the SR 201's built-in scaler lets it output any of a wide range of fixed resolutions -- from 640x480 up to 4096x2160 at 60 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma sampling -- or run in bypass mode to pass the source resolution unchanged. HDMI 2.0 input is HDCP 2.3 compliant with a maximum data rate of 18.0 Gbps. Audio de-embeds to a digital HDMI-embedded output or a 3.5 mm analog stereo connector, and bidirectional RS-232 plus IR control pass through to remote devices over the same fiber link. Configuration runs through a front panel USB-B port over Ethernet-over-USB, with full monitoring and control also available over the rear RJ-45 Ethernet port using Extron SIS commands. This lossless variant uses 1 SFP (mathematically lossless 4K/60 over one fiber), giving a maximum channel data rate of 10.0 Gbps (1 fiber). Power is external, converting 100-240 VAC to a 12 VDC, 2.0 A (24 W) output.
