Extron FOX Matrix 7200 (part number 60-1256-01) — an 8U modular fiber optic matrix switcher frame scaling from 8x8 to 72x72. Extron now lists this model as retired.

Nine board slots make up the card cage, and each one holds an eight-port FOX I/O 88 board terminated in LC connectors. Multimode cards work at 850 nm for in-building runs; singlemode cards work at 1310 nm and reach far beyond a single site. Because the frame accepts either type in any slot, a multimode feed can enter and leave on singlemode within the same chassis. Two internal 175 watt supplies run primary and redundant, and both they and the cooling fan are hot-swappable. A QS-FPC QuickSwitch front panel controller is standard, and real-time diagnostics watch the boards, links, supplies and fan continuously.
