Details
Extron FOX I/O 1616 HD-SDI (part number 70-966-01) — a 16x16 3G-SDI, HD-SDI and SDI input/output board for Extron FOX Matrix modular switchers.
Unlike the fiber cards in the same family, this board terminates in coax: sixteen female BNC inputs and sixteen female BNC outputs on one slot. It lets a FOX Matrix 320x or FOX Matrix 14400 accept and deliver baseband serial digital video directly, so a fiber routing plant and local SDI gear can live inside a single frame. Data rates up to 2.97 Gbps are locked automatically, incoming signals are equalized on arrival, and outputs are reclocked — or bypassed when a nonstandard rate has to pass untouched. Each input and output is individually buffered.
