The Extron FOX 3G I/O 88 SM P, part number 70-965-02, is a singlemode fiber I/O board with pathological compensation for the FOX Matrix 3200, FOX Matrix 7200, and FOX Matrix 14000 chassis. Installing this single-slot board adds 8 fiber inputs and 8 fiber outputs via 16 LC connectors, growing the host matrix in 8x8 increments from its initial size up to the chassis maximum. The pathological compensation (P) version adds immunity to test patterns defined by SMPTE RP 178 and RP 198, making it suitable for broadcast environments where pathological signals may be present. The board is hot-swappable and carries digital AV signals over singlemode fiber at up to 4.25 Gbps per channel, reaching 30 km on singlemode cable. Signal formats supported include DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI, 3G-SDI, RGB, HD component, and standard-definition video.
