The EWB 112 differs from the older steel EWB boxes in two useful ways: it is moulded from high impact thermoplastic, and it was designed with active two-gang devices in mind, not just passive plates. Extron lists it as compatible with modules such as the MLC Plus 400 and the DTP T UWP 4K 232 D. Internally it holds 2.24 inches (57 mm) of clear depth, and four raceway openings — one on each side — give the installer a choice of cable path along the wall or in from the rear.
