Extron EWB 10X8 (part number 60-457-02) — 10 x 8 inch external wall box in black, part of Extron's EWB Series and now retired.

This is the EWB variant defined by an open footprint instead of a gang count. Ten inches by eight gives room for mounting frames and panels that do not follow US gang spacing, and the box puts that area on the wall surface with no in-wall rough-in. The 2.5 inch (6.4 cm) depth common to the EWB Series is retained, so cabling and connector bodies sit behind the panel without strain, and knockouts allow surface raceway or rear wall entry.
