Video extenders are common; video extenders that also move the room's USB host are not. Alongside the HDMI input and its loop-through, the DTP3 T 301 provides a female USB type B host port whose traffic — bulk, control, interrupt and isochronous — travels the same cable at up to 480 Mbps. That means a soft-codec PC in the rack can reach a camera and speakerphone at the table without a second infrastructure run. A 3.5 mm analog stereo input can be embedded onto the digital video at the transmitter, and RS-232 passes through for remote device control.
