Details
Extron DTP3 T 211 (part number 60-2070-52) — a quarter-rack USB-C transmitter that sends 4K/60 video, embedded audio and serial control over a single twisted pair run.
This is the one-cable answer for a modern laptop. A single female USB type C connector accepts DisplayPort Alt Mode over two or four lanes and hands the signal to a DTP3 output that can also be reconfigured as HDBaseT for existing infrastructure. A local HDMI loop-out mirrors the source at the transmitter for a confidence display. Pair it with an Extron UPI 100 and the same USB-C port delivers charging power to the connected device at up to 20 VDC and 5 A, so the presenter never runs flat mid-session.
Key Capabilities
- Single USB-C input, DisplayPort Alt Mode DP 1.2 at RBR, HBR or HBR2/5.4 Gbps.
- Output selectable between DTP3 and HDBaseT on one female RJ-45.
- 18 Gbps (6 Gbps per color) throughput, 600 MHz maximum pixel clock.
- Full 330 ft (100 m) at 4K/60 when run on Extron XTP DTP 22 cable.
- HDMI loop-out drives a local monitor alongside the extended feed.
- 128-256 byte EDID emulation (1-2 blocks) keeps handshakes predictable.
- Powered locally at 12 VDC or remotely from the far-end receiver, 18 W budget.
Where It Is Used
Ideal where the table only has room for one cable: huddle rooms, executive boardrooms, seminar spaces, and clinical or command consoles that standardise on USB-C laptops and need charging, video and control to travel together to a rack that may be a hundred metres away.
