Extron DTP3 T 202 (part number 60-1869-62) — a quarter-rack DTP3 transmitter that pushes 4K/60 HDMI, embedded audio and RS-232 control down a single shielded twisted pair run.
Source equipment rarely lives where the display does. The DTP3 T 202 closes that gap by taking one HDMI feed at the source end and repackaging video, embedded audio, bidirectional serial and device power onto one RJ-45 link bound for a matching DTP3 receiver. A second HDMI jack loops the same source through locally, so a confidence monitor at the lectern costs nothing extra in hardware. Nothing is compressed along the way: an 18 Gbps signal leaves the laptop and arrives at the display unchanged, with HDR metadata intact.
Key Capabilities
- Passes up to 18 Gbps (6 Gbps per color) uncompressed at a 600 MHz maximum pixel clock.
- Reaches a full 330 ft (100 m) at 4K/60 when the run is Extron XTP DTP 22 cable.
- Loop-through HDMI output drives a local display with no separate distribution amp.
- Supports HDCP 1.x and HDCP 2.3 and relays HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.
- Bidirectional RS-232 rides the same pair at 300 to 115200 baud for endpoint control.
- Powers locally from the supplied 12 VDC unit or remotely from the far-end receiver.
Where It Is Used
The 4.3 in wide metal enclosure tucks under a conference table, behind a lectern, or onto an optional 1U rack shelf. That makes it a natural fit for boardrooms, divisible training rooms, university lecture halls, courtrooms, and clinical review suites where a single long cable pull has to carry picture, sound and control between rooms.
