Details
Extron DTP2 T 211 (part number 60-1631-62) — an HDMI transmitter for DTP2 systems, built into a compact quarter-rack metal chassis.
DTP2 was Extron's answer to 4K at 60 Hz over twisted pair: an 18 Gbps ceiling instead of the 10.2 Gbps of earlier DTP hardware. This transmitter takes one HDMI source, optionally folds in a stereo analog feed, and pushes the result down a shielded CATx cable to a matching receiver. Serial and infrared traffic travels the same path in both directions. Because DTP2 endpoints can power each other, only one end of the link needs a mains outlet, which is often the difference between a clean install and a new circuit.
