Details
Extron DTP HDMI 4K 230 Tx (part number 60-1271-12) — the source-end transmitter of Extron's DTP HDMI 230 4K pair, folding HDMI, analog audio and control onto one shielded twisted pair cable.
Put this unit next to the laptop, camera or media player. A single female HDMI type A connector takes the source (DVI-D works too with the right cable or adapter), and everything leaves on one female RJ-45 terminated to TIA/EIA T568B. A 3.5 mm stereo jack adds a PC-level analog audio feed alongside the video, and the same 5-pole captive screw connector handles both RS-232 at up to 115200 baud and TTL-level infrared, so room control shares the cable instead of needing its own. The matching DTP HDMI 4K 230 Rx receiver is a separate order.
Key Capabilities
- Sends 4K at 4096x2160 and UHD at 3840x2160 at 30 Hz, or either at 60 Hz using 4:2:0 chroma subsampling
- Handles a 10.2 Gbps maximum data rate and a 300 MHz maximum pixel clock
- Carries HDCP 2.3 protected sources; built to HDMI 1.4, DVI 1.0 and CEA-861E
- Covers 230 feet (70 m) at 1080p/60, and 130 feet (40 m) at 2560x1600 or 4K/UHD
- Accepts a -10 dBV nominal analog stereo input on a 3.5 mm jack, with a +7 dBV unbalanced ceiling
- Consumes just 2.5 watts, or draws remote power from the receiver within a 12 watt budget
Where It Is Used
Lecterns and conference tables where the rack is down the hall, classrooms and training rooms feeding a projector at the front, digital signage head ends, and imaging or command environments where the source workstation and the viewing display cannot share a room. The vented-free metal case cools by convection and is UL rated for plenum airspaces.
