Extron DSC 401 A (part number 60-1878-02) is a quarter-rack HDMI scaling converter that adds analog audio handling and Ethernet control to the base DSC 401.

Like the DSC 401, this unit rescales an HDMI/DVI source anywhere from 480i up to native 4096x2160 for a display that expects a different resolution. The DSC 401 A goes further by de-embedding and embedding analog stereo audio through a 3.5 mm input and a 5-pole captive-screw output, and by adding a PoE-capable Ethernet port so the scaler can be configured and monitored from a network switch instead of only a front-panel USB-C connection.
