One hundred and fifty feet is the far end of what Extron builds in this family, and it is a genuinely useful number: it covers most single-storey buildings end to end without a transmitter, a receiver, a rack unit or a second power outlet. Inside the 0.18 in jacket, multimode optical fibres carry the four DisplayPort lanes while 24 AWG tinned copper handles the auxiliary channel, so EDID, HDCP 2.3, CEC and 32 audio channels all survive the trip alongside up to 32.4 Gbps of video. The jacket is NEC CMP rated, and the active connectors draw 375 mW at 3.3 V from the equipment.
