Details
Extron DMP 128 Plus C V (part number 60-1513-01) — a 12x8 ProDSP digital audio matrix processor with twelve channels of acoustic echo cancellation and a built-in VoIP interface.
Adding the V option puts a SIP endpoint inside the DSP, so a conference room can place and take telephone calls without a separate codec or analog phone hybrid. Up to eight concurrent extensions run over a single RJ-45 connection, and the VoIP side is configured from its own web page — the AV integrator can hand that page to the IT department without giving up control of the audio design. Twelve AEC processors keep the far end from hearing itself, each with an independently chosen reference.
Key Capabilities
- Up to eight concurrent, independent VoIP extensions using SIP per RFC 3261 and related RFCs.
- Wideband and other ITU codecs supported; optional LLDP-MED discovery on the VoIP port.
- Twelve independent AEC channels, tail length above 200 msec, convergence up to 60 dB per second.
- Software-selectable noise cancellation of up to 20 dB.
- Twelve mono mic/line inputs with switchable +48 VDC phantom power on inputs 1-8, and eight line outputs.
- 4x4 USB digital audio interface, EXP expansion port, RS-232, Ethernet and ACP panel control.
Where It Is Used
Boardrooms and executive conference rooms that still rely on dial-in participants, telehealth consultation rooms, legal and financial meeting spaces, and training rooms that bridge phone and video calls all benefit from having telephony inside the DSP. The unit occupies 1U of full-rack width and runs on an internal 100-240 VAC supply.
