Details
Extron DMP 128 C P (part number 60-1179-01) — the 12x8 ProDSP digital audio matrix processor with both acoustic echo cancellation and a POTS analog telephone interface built in.
The P is the telephone half. Two RJ-11 ports connect the processor to a POTS line and to a telephone handset, so the unit can answer and place calls into a conferencing session without an outboard hybrid. It works on the public switched telephone network and behind a PBX, and complies with the applicable US and international standards, with country code selection covering the USA, Canada, Europe, Australia, Japan, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates. The telephone path is bandwidth-limited at 300 to 3200 Hz as the network requires, with software-adjustable input and output gain and better than 60 dB A-weighted dynamic range. Paired with the eight channels of Extron AEC that the C designation brings, this is a self-contained audio conferencing engine.
Key Capabilities
- Two RJ-11 ports for a POTS line and a telephone handset; PSTN and PBX compatible.
- Country codes for the USA, Canada, Europe, Australia, Japan, Singapore and the UAE.
- Eight independent channels of Extron acoustic echo cancellation with over 200 msec tail.
- Telephone input gain -18 to +20 dB and output gain -100 to 0 dB, both in 0.1 dB steps.
- Twelve mono mic/line inputs, eight with switchable +48 VDC phantom power.
- Expansion port carries 16 channels each way to a second unit or a DTP CrossPoint.
Where It Is Used
Boardrooms and conference rooms that still bridge audio calls over a phone line, courtrooms taking remote testimony, emergency operations centres that need a POTS path when IP is down, and any facility standardising on one chassis for mixing, echo cancellation and telephony.
