Details
Extron DMP 128 C AT (part number 60-1178-10) — the 12x8 ProDSP digital audio matrix processor carrying both eight channels of acoustic echo cancellation and Dante networking.
This is the combination most conferencing rooms actually want. The C brings Extron AEC, eight independent channels with a tail beyond 200 milliseconds and convergence up to 60 dB per second, tuned to hold up under double-talk and roaming wireless microphones. The AT brings Dante, which matters here for more than transport: FlexInputs on channels 1 to 8 can each take a network channel instead of the local analog connector, so a remote wireless receiver or a wallplate microphone anywhere on the network gets the same AEC and DSP chain a hardwired microphone would. The unit receives 56 Dante channels and transmits 24, through a built-in four-port Gigabit switch that also lets several processors and AXP expanders be chained into a larger matrix.
Key Capabilities
- Eight independent channels of Extron acoustic echo cancellation with selectable noise cancellation to 20 dB.
- FlexInputs on channels 1 to 8 substitute a Dante channel for the local mic/line input.
- Dante/AES-67 transport: 56 channels Rx and 24 channels Tx.
- Built-in four-port 1 Gbps switch for chaining processors and AXP expanders.
- Twelve mono mic/line inputs, eight with switchable +48 VDC phantom power.
- Expansion port carries 16 channels each way to a second unit or a DTP CrossPoint.
Where It Is Used
Boardrooms and courtrooms running remote participants over both a local network and a far-end codec, conference centres with distributed wireless microphone systems, and multi-room campuses where the microphone estate is on Dante but echo cancellation still has to happen per room. Note this model has no telephone interface; that is the C P variant.
