Details
Extron DMP 128 AT (part number 60-1211-10) — the Dante-equipped 12x8 ProDSP digital audio matrix processor, with FlexInputs that let network channels take the place of local mic inputs.
FlexInput is the feature that distinguishes this model from the plain DMP 128. Inputs 1 through 8 can each be switched to draw a Dante channel instead of the local analog connector, which means a wireless microphone receiver, a wallplate interface or any other Dante source anywhere on the network gets the full DSP chain applied to it exactly as a locally wired microphone would. On the network side the unit transmits 24 channels and receives 56, through a built-in four-port Gigabit switch that also lets several DMP 128 AT processors and AXP expansion processors be daisy-chained into a larger matrix. Primary and redundant Dante networks are supported. Note that this particular model does not include acoustic echo cancellation or telephone interfacing; those are the C and C P variants.
Key Capabilities
- Twelve mono mic/line inputs, eight with switchable +48 VDC phantom power.
- FlexInputs on channels 1 to 8 select a Dante channel in place of the local analog input.
- Dante/AES-67 transport: 56 channels Rx and 24 channels Tx.
- Built-in four-port 1 Gbps switch for direct interconnection of multiple processors.
- Deterministic Dante latency selectable at 0.25, 0.5, 1.0 default, 2.0 or 5.0 ms.
- Automixer plus the expansion port's 16 channels each way to a second unit or DTP CrossPoint.
Where It Is Used
Boardrooms and conference centres already running Dante for wireless microphone receivers and wallplate drops, multi-room facilities linking several processors into one matrix, courtrooms, and lecture spaces where the microphone estate is distributed but the processing has to stay central.
