Details
Extron DA6 HD 8K L (part number 60-1872-01) — the six output model in the DA HD 8K L family, an HDMI 2.1 distribution amplifier rated to 8K/60 with RS-232 and Ethernet control.
Six outputs is where cable quality and EDID handling stop being afterthoughts. This amplifier carries 40.1 Gbps on a 2376 MHz pixel clock, so 7680x4320 travels at 60 Hz with 4:2:0 sampling or 30 Hz at 4:4:4, and each port supplies +5 VDC at 250 mA so active hybrid optical HDMI cables can reach displays further away than copper allows. EDID Minder Plus manages the additional memory blocks that 5K and 21:9 panels advertise over EDID and DisplayID, and Key Minder keeps HDCP 2.3 authenticated to all six sinks simultaneously. Any output can be muted for video, audio or sync, and HDCP authorization is user-selectable so a source that encrypts everything by default can be persuaded otherwise.
