The 650 UT mounts beneath the furniture surface rather than sitting in it, which is what allows a professionally fabricated table-matching lid to be dropped over the opening. It can also be left open where a lid is not wanted. Integrated mounting brackets take up any tabletop thickness, and two or more enclosures can be ganged together when a position outgrows a single box — a practical way to expand connectivity later without recutting the furniture from scratch.
