Details
Extron ATB 100 (part number 70-1357-01) — an adjustable two-piece metal bracket that hangs a plenum-rated Extron power amplifier above the ceiling tile, on the same C-ring and V-rail tile bridges already carrying the loudspeakers.
Small distributed-audio amplifiers are increasingly installed at the ceiling rather than in a rack, which raises the question of what holds them. The ATB 100 answers it by spanning between existing tile-bridge rails. Its length adjusts, so one part number covers the different rail-to-rail spacings used by ceiling speakers from 3 in to 8 in, and a second attachment point is provided so the assembly can be tied off for seismic security. Every fastener needed comes in the box.
Key Capabilities
- Carries quarter-rack and half-rack width Extron amplifiers weighing up to 5 lbs
- Works with Extron C-ring and V-rail tile bridges already used for ceiling speakers
- Adjustable length spans the rail spacings of 3 in to 8 in ceiling speakers
- Secondary attachment point provided for seismic safety tie-off
- Two-piece metal construction; all necessary mounting hardware included
- Named by Extron as the optional speaker mount accessory for the NetPA 204 POE
Where It Is Used
Classrooms, open-plan offices, retail floors and healthcare corridors where the amplifier lives above the tile beside the speakers rather than in a distant rack. Particularly relevant in seismic zones and in facilities whose plenum returns require above-ceiling equipment to be positively anchored.
