Extron 3.5 mm, 3 pole, blue, with tail (part number 100-456-01) is the three-position replacement captive screw connector for Extron audio and control ports, supplied in tens.

Three poles is the balanced-audio count: positive, negative and ground on one plug. It is also the shape of a bidirectional serial link. This blue connector restores either without disturbing the rest of the loom - slide it onto the matching 3.5 mm captive screw block, land the three conductors under the screws, and the channel is back. Because the wire is clamped rather than soldered, a field change means a screwdriver rather than an iron.

Wiring Notes

Extron's audio connector wiring card covers three-position plugs directly. Aim for around 3/16 in (5 mm) of exposed conductor - more invites a bridge between adjacent contacts, less lets the wire withdraw under tension even with the screws down. Leave the strands bare rather than tinned, as tinned ends deform and loosen. On unbalanced sources, take the cable sleeve to the ground position rather than the negative one.
