Wiring Notes

Extron's audio connector wiring card sets about 3/16 in (5 mm) as the amount of copper to expose. Go longer and neighbouring contacts risk touching; go shorter and the conductor can slip free even after the screws are tightened. Tinning the strands is discouraged, since solder-coated wire relaxes and works loose with time.
