Two singlemode glass fibers sit in the duplex zip-cord jacket, protected by aramid yarn and a PVC outer listed to OFNP FT6. Because Extron rates singlemode transport out to 30 km, the loss contributed by a 30 m assembly is negligible next to the connector pair at either end.
