Five meters is the first length in the series that regularly leaves the rack. It reaches from an Extron optical transmitter or receiver across an aisle, up into a ceiling tray, or over to an adjacent enclosure. The two-fiber zip-cord body measures only 2.0 mm by 4.0 mm, so it threads through crowded cable managers without displacing copper runs, and the aramid yarn core lets an installer pull it without stressing the glass.
