Details
Extron 12G HD-SDI 101 (part number 60-1673-01) — a single-channel cable equalizer that rescues long coaxial SDI runs, from legacy SD all the way to 12G-SDI.
Coaxial cable attenuates high-frequency serial digital video, and a 4K/60 12G-SDI feed degrades far faster than an HD signal on the same run. Installed at the display end of the cable, the 12G HD-SDI 101 measures the incoming signal, applies matched equalization for as much as -30 dB of loss, then re-clocks the output to strip accumulated jitter. Rate detection is automatic, so one unit covers every SMPTE and ITU data rate in the plant without a jumper, a menu or a configuration utility.
