Details
The Diacom Box DICOM-BOX (also known as the Richardson DICOM Box or NAI Tech DICOM Box) is a highly versatile medical print server and image acquisition gateway designed to bridge legacy medical imaging modalities with modern PACS networks. By providing robust connectivity for any number of DICOM modalities, it allows up to six active network associations to simultaneously share a single laser printer or storage resource, significantly optimizing clinical hardware utilization.
Equipped with advanced Cine to DICOM real-time video acquisition capabilities, this system captures high-quality video data from both monochrome and color sources. It supports recording at up to 30 frames per second in RGB or 1K x 1K monochrome formats, offering selectable acquisition rates and multiple record modes such as R-wave trigger, prospective, and retrospective recording. This makes it an ideal solution for legacy ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and cardiac angiography systems.
In addition to image capture, the DICOM-BOX simplifies workflow integration by supporting DICOM Store, DICOM Print, Modality Performed Procedure Step (MPPS), and Storage Commitment. It can be fully integrated with Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and Radiology Information Systems (RIS), ensuring that patient data and captured clinical media are accurately archived and easily accessible across the healthcare enterprise.
