People feel just really uncertain about the future,” said Karen Benjamin Guzzo, associate director of the Center for Family & Demographic Research at Bowling Green State University in Ohio, in an interview. All in all, the report is not able to determine the reason for the overall decline, but it could be the uncertainty of the future.
