A field-terminated twisted pair link is only as good as the connector on the end of it, and that is the whole argument for using Extron's own plug on Extron's own cable. This kit is built specifically for XTP DTP 22 bulk cable in both plenum and non-plenum form, accepting 22 AWG and 23 AWG conductors. An integrated alignment guide separates the four pairs before they enter the plug body, which keeps the untwist short and holds crosstalk down. Metal strain relief and ground bonding carry the cable shield through to the connector rather than stopping it at the jacket.
