Extron XMP 240 C AT (part number 60-1836-01) — a half-rack Dante expansion matrix processor that adds 24 channels of acoustic echo cancellation and 48x48 network audio to a system.
This is a channel-count problem solver. It carries no analog audio connectors at all: everything arrives and leaves over Dante or the EXP expansion port. Used on its own it is the matrix and DSP engine of an all-network audio system. Tied to a DMP Plus processor over Dante or EXP, it lifts the combined system to as many as 36 AEC channels while the DMP contributes analog I/O, USB audio and optional VoIP. It draws under 10 watts and can run on standard PoE.
Key Capabilities
- 24 channels of acoustic echo cancellation with tail length above 200 msec and convergence up to 60 dB per second.
- Dante/AES-67 transport on a 2-port 1 Gbps switch: 48 channels received and 48 transmitted.
- EXP expansion port carrying 16 channels in and 16 channels out over shielded CAT6.
- Selectable network latency of 0.25, 0.5, 1.0 (default), 2.0 or 5.0 ms.
- Powered by PoE (IEEE 802.3af) or the included PS 1215 C 12 VDC supply.
- Configured in Extron DSP Configurator; controlled over RS-232, Ethernet, SIS commands or the 200-session web server.
Where It Is Used
Large conference floors, multipurpose rooms, lecture blocks and campus deployments that have outgrown a single DSP, plus all-Dante designs where microphone arrays and networked amplifiers do all the talking. Convection cooled with no fan, it can go in a lectern, a credenza or a shared rack shelf.
