At twenty-five feet, most USB-C cables have already given up on 20 Gbps. This one holds it by carrying the high-speed lanes optically while copper handles power and the USB 2 path. The lane allocation is not fixed: the cable negotiates four lanes to video when the application wants 8K, or splits two-and-two when 4K on screen plus 10 Gbps of USB traffic is the better trade. An integrated eMarker tells both ends what it can do, so the 100 W Power Delivery contract settles correctly rather than defaulting low.
