Details
Extron SYM BNCF/3 (part number 26-531-12) — a 3 ft (0.9 m) VGA-to-five-BNC breakout cable for feeding RGBHV video into displays that use separate BNC inputs.
Projectors, large-format monitors and scan converters frequently accept computer video only on five discrete BNC jacks, while the source hands you a single 15-pin HD connector. This assembly bridges that gap in one factory-terminated part: a molded VGA male plug on the source side, five color-coded 75 ohm BNC female jacks on the other, and 3 ft of Extron MHR-5 mini high resolution coax in between. Because the BNC ends are female, this short length is normally used as the tail piece at either end of a longer male-to-male BNC pull.
Key Capabilities
- Carries red, green, blue plus separate horizontal and vertical sync on five independent 75 ohm coaxial conductors.
- Molded 15-pin HD male connector whose shell is grounded, draining electrostatic discharge away from the source equipment.
- Color coding on the five BNC female terminations removes the guesswork when landing RGBHV on a display panel.
- MHR-5 construction uses 26 AWG conductors, each individually wrapped in 100% aluminum foil and a 95% tinned copper serve.
- Smaller and lighter than a standard five-coax bundle, so it turns corners and feeds through raceway more willingly.
- Non-plenum jacket carries an NEC CM rating.
Where It Is Used
Classroom and lecture-hall projector feeds, boardroom display walls, broadcast and post-production monitoring positions, medical imaging review stations and control-room consoles — anywhere legacy RGBHV equipment terminates on BNC while the source still speaks VGA.
