Extron Surface Mount Kit (part number 70-977-03) — white replacement SpeedMount kit, supplied as a pair, for the Extron SM 26 and SM 28 surface mount speakers.

The white-finish counterpart to 70-977-02, matched to white SM 26 and SM 28 cabinets. Two components make up the aiming strategy. The 0° mounting plate is the baseline: it fixes to studs or wall board and holds the speaker flush, in either a vertical or a horizontal cabinet orientation. Where the mounting height is above or off to one side of the listening area, the 10° mounting adapter is added between plate and speaker, giving a 10° tilt that can be indexed downward, upward, left or right. Neither change affects the underlying benefit of the SpeedMount design, which is that speaker cable is terminated on the plate at rough-in and the speaker itself connects and locks in a single later step — with a hidden, lockable release for service access.
