Extron Surface Mount Kit (part number 70-930-03) — white replacement SpeedMount kit, supplied as a pair, for the Extron SM 3 surface mount speaker.

Functionally identical to the black 70-930-02, finished white to match white SM 3 cabinets. What is being replaced here is the plate that stays on the wall and the patented contact system built into it. Two plate angles are supplied. The 0° plate holds the speaker flat and keeps the whole assembly under 4 in (10.2 cm) off the wall, which is what brings an SM 3 inside ADA protruding-object limits in a corridor or circulation route. The 10° plate tips the speaker for rooms where the listening plane sits below the mounting height. Either plate can be fixed to a US or European junction box, or driven straight into studs or wall board where no box exists. The speaker itself locks on and connects electrically in the same movement, with no separate terminal to reach behind the cabinet.
