Eighteen gauge is the lightest of the three Extron bulk speaker cables, which makes it the fastest to pull, dress and terminate when a job involves a lot of short loudspeaker drops rather than a few long ones. The build is the same across the SPK line: one pair of bare copper conductors under a SuperFlex jacket, with a strand count Extron sets higher than comparable cable so a thin cable does not turn brittle in the hand. This part carries the non-plenum jacket.
