Extron SMK P SM 26/28 (part number 70-978-02) — black pivot mount kit, supplied as a pair, for the SM 26 and SM 28 SpeedMount surface mount speakers.

The standard SpeedMount plate fixes a speaker flat to the surface. That is fine when the listener is directly in front of it and unhelpful everywhere else. The SMK P SM 26/28 replaces that plate with a pivoting head: the speaker turns a full 360° in its cradle and the pivot itself tips the speaker off-axis, so a single mounting position can be aimed at a seating block, a lectern, or a bay of workstations. The kit also keeps the trade sequence clean. The electrician terminates speaker cable to the mount's built-in contacts during rough-in; weeks later the AV installer slides the speaker on, and it locks and connects in the same motion. Raceway access is designed in for surface-run cable.
