Extron SMB 211 (part number 70-1142-13) — a one-gang low profile surface mount box that carries Flex55 and EU connectivity on top of a surface instead of inside it.

Plenty of tables, lecterns and walls have no cavity to recess an AV plate into. The SMB 211 answers that by giving a single Flex55 or EU module a finished home fastened to the outside of the surface. A metal body with high-impact thermoplastic end caps stands up to daily handling, and the face sits 30 degrees off vertical so connectors stay easy to reach without the box standing tall on the tabletop. Cable exits through a slot 0.46 in. high that runs the full width of the back panel.
