A five-gang enclosure is a lot of hardware to put on a table, so finish is a real design decision. White lets the box read as part of a pale worktop or a light teaching wall rather than a black slab bolted to the surface. Function is unchanged: five gang positions behind a 115 degree angled face, three base cable openings for the bundle, and a mounting scheme that never requires the furniture to be cut.
