Details
Extron NetPA U 2004 FX (part number 60-2028-01) — a four-channel, 200 watt Class D amplifier with onboard DSP and Dante/AES67 networking in a single rack unit.
Each of the four outputs is set independently for 8 ohm, 4 ohm, 70 V or 100 V operation, so one chassis can serve a low-impedance boardroom pair and a constant-voltage overflow zone at the same time. Power is shared across adjacent channel pairs: drive one channel of a pair on its own and it delivers 400 watts. Audio arrives either as eight channels of Dante over the two-port Gigabit switch or on four balanced analog line inputs, and passes through DSP with 0.1 dB gain steps and 1 ms of processing latency.
Key Capabilities
- 200 W per channel with all four driven, into 4 ohm, 8 ohm, 70 V or 100 V at 0.2% THD
- 400 W available when one channel of an adjacent pair is driven alone
- Per-channel output mode selection covers low-impedance and constant-voltage zones
- Dante/AES67 on a 2-port 1 Gbps switch: 8 channels Rx, 8 channels Tx, 24-bit at 48 kHz
- Four balanced/unbalanced line inputs with -18 to +24 dB gain in 0.1 dB steps
- Switch-selectable 80 Hz high-pass filter, 12 dB per octave, for 70 V and 100 V modes
Where It Is Used
Multi-zone commercial audio built on a Dante backbone: conference centres and divisible ballrooms, higher-education lecture blocks, houses of worship, transport terminals and stadium concourses. The variable-speed front-to-rear fan means the unit racks with no empty slot above or below, which matters in dense amplifier rooms.
